Eric Kane is joining Boston's WHDH 7 as a reporter.
"Eric is from New Hampshire and can’t wait to come back home to cover the news where he grew up" said WHDH news director Linda Miele in an email to staff.
Eric joins WHDH from WVEC ABC 13 in Norfolk, Virginia where he was most recently a general assignment reporter.
During his time at WVEC, Eric has covered major stories including the Antares rocket explosion over Wallops Island, and the fight to legalize same-sex marriage in Virginia.
Before joining WVEC in January 2013, Eric was a reporter, anchor, and producer at WLUC NBC/FOX 6 in Marquette, Michigan.
Eric has also interned at WMUR ABC 9 in Manchester, New Hampshire, and at New Hampshire Public Radio.
A native of New Hampshire, Eric is a 2011 graduate of Keene State College where he earned a Bachelor's degree in communications and film production.
Eric starts at WHDH at the end of October.
