Steve Tellier is joining WHDH 7 in Boston as an investigative reporter.

"Steve Tellier is joining us as we expand our Investigative Unit" said WHDH news director Linda Miele in an email to staff. "Steve grew up in the Boston area and is so excited to be returning home to cheer on his favorite teams – especially the B’s."

Steve joins WHDH from KTSP ABC 5 in Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Minnesota where he is currently an investigative reporter.

Before joining KTSP in January 2013, Steve was a reporter at WLKY CBS 32 in Louisville, Kentucky. While at WLKY, he took second place in the Best TV Spot News category from the Kentucky AP Broadcast Association for coverage of a plane crash in Louisville in 2011.

Prior to that, Steve was a reporter at KHBS/KHOG ABC 40/29 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. While there, Steve took first place in the Enterprise-Investigative TV News Story category from the Arkansas AP Broadcast Association for investigating unsanitary conditions at local restaurants in 2009.

Steve has also been an associate producer and an intern at WSTM NBC 3/WTVH CBS 5/WSTQ CW 6 in Syracuse, New York.

A native of the Boston area, Steve is a 2007 graduate of Syracuse University where he earned a Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism.

Steve starts at WHDH in December.
