Dana Griffin is leaving WLNE-TV ABC 6 in Providence to join Hearst's KCRA-TV NBC 3 in Sacramento, CA as a reporter.

Dana has been a general assignment reporter for ABC 6 since joining the station in 2013. Of the stories she has covered while at ABC 6, Dana was most recently instrumental in the stations coverage of the Aaron Hernandez murder trial. Active in the community during her time in Providence, Dana has been serving as the communications director for the Southern New England chapter of National Association of Black Journalists. She has also been a volunteer for the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation and the 'Providence Reads' initiative.

Dana joined ABC 6 from KIEM-TV NBC 3 in Eureka, CA where she was a weekend anchor and reporter. She has also worked behind the scenes as a producer for Tomorrow Pictures; an extras casting recruiter for New Remote Productions; and a news trainee at WAGA-TV, all in Atlanta, GA.

A native of Atlanta, Dana is a 2010 graduate of Clark Atlanta University where she studied mass media arts, and was a proud member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
