Alexandra Corey has joined KSDK NBC 5 in St. Louis, Missouri as an anchor and reporter.

Alexandra Corey has joined KSDK NBC 5 in St. Louis, Missouri as an anchor and reporter.

Alexandra joins KSDK from WLNE ABC 6 in Providence, Rhode Island where she was the weekday news anchor. She joined ABC 6 in September 2011 as a multimedia journalist, and was promoted to co-anchor of the stations morning newscast in February 2012. She was later promoted to co-anchor of the stations 5 and 5:30 pm weekday newscasts in August 2013, and later to the stations 6pm and 11pm newscasts in August 2014.

Prior to ABC 6, Alexandra was a reporter and anchor at WCJB ABC 20 in Gainesville, FL. While in Gainesville, Alexandra reported on events that received national attention. She covered the infamous Terry Jones and his burning of the Quran that caused unrest worldwide. She shed light on the prescription pill epidemic and uncovered a Florida doctor accused of over prescribing medication to his patients that resulted in 34 deaths.

Alexandra was born and raised in Florida and is a graduate of Florida State University where she received a degree in Mass Media Communications.

She started at KSDK on August 17.
