Courtney Highfield has joined WHP CBS 21 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania as a reporter.

Courtney comes to WHP from Sinclair Broadcast Group sister-station WGME CBS 13 in Portland, Maine where she had been a multimedia journalist since October 2014.

"Well that's a wrap, folks!" Courtney wrote on her Facebook page. "Just did my last liveshot for WGME CBS 13 News Portland, Very bittersweet. Harrisburg here I come!"

Before heading North, Courtney spent two years at WFXL FOX 31 in Albany, Georgia. While there she contributed to an award winning thirty minute healthcare special, "Pursuing Good Health." She's passionate about storytelling and considers it an honor to do it for a living.

Courtney was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland but headed South for school. She graduated from the University of Alabama in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Telecommunications and Film. While she was in college she reported and produced for the local TV station, WVUA.

When Courtney isn't working she's exploring the world with her dog by her side. She has a two year old golden retriever named Tucker and she'll be more than willing to show you fifty pictures of him if you ask! She also loves the Crimson Tide, the Ravens, and the Orioles.

Courtney started at WHP this month.
