Joy Dumandan has joined Boston's WFXT FOX 25 as a reporter.

Joy Dumandan has joined Boston's WFXT FOX 25 as a reporter.

"This is REALLY happening! It's official!" she said on Twitter. "So excited to join the team at FOX 25 News!"

Joy joins FOX 25 from BoomerTV, a weekly show focusing on issues affecting baby boomers, in Indianapolis, Indiana where she was a reporter. She has also spent the past five years as a media consultant and voiceover talent.

Prior to that, Joy spent 11 years as the morning news anchor at WISH-TV 8 in Indianapolis. While there, she was involved in team coverage of major events including presidential visits, Super Bowl, Indianapolis 500, NCAA March Madness and severe weather.

Joy also spent over four years as a news update anchor at Fox News Channel in New York City. There she was involved in breaking news coverage including the conflict in Kosovo, 2000 Presidential Election and space shuttle missions.

She started her on-air career as a general assignment reporter at WBRE NBC 28/WYOU CBS 13 in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Pennsylvania. Before that, she spent time as an associate producer at CNBC in Fort Lee, New Jersey.

A native of New Jersey, Joy is a graduate of Montclair State University where she earned a Bachelor's degree in communication studies.

Joy's first day on-air at FOX 25 was on February 8.
