Sports reporter Alex Corddry has left WHDH NBC 7 in Boston, Massachusetts.

"Last day working at WHDH. For three years I've worked with the most talented photographer in the business Greg Glass!" she said in an Instagram post on Tuesday. "Thank you Greg for not only being awesome to work with but for being an incredible friend! Thank you 7News for the memories & the amazing opportunity!"

Alex is now freelancing for ESPN and the SEC Network.

Prior to coming to Boston, she was a reporter for the Washington Redskins covering stories for “Redskins Nation” on Comcast SportsNet. She also was a college sideline reporter for ESPNU.

Before moving to Washington, DC, Alex covered SEC sports for CBS42 in Birmingham, AL. While reporting on Alabama and Auburn, she covered National Championships, SEC Championships, traveled to Greensboro, North Carolina for the NCAA Tournament, and reported from the White House to cover the Crimson Tide meeting President Barack Obama.

Alex is a graduate of the University of Alabama. Being a Zeta Tau Alpha at Alabama, Alex was involved with the Susan G. Komen Charity which she continues to support.

Sports run in Alex’s blood. Her father Phil Corddry was a Southpaw for the Pawtucket Red Sox. He also played for the Orleans Cardinals in the Cape Cod league. Alex thanks her dad for her solid left arm.

In the summers one of Alex’s favorite things to do is visit Wingaersheek Beach with her mom and stepdad to go lobstering.
