Beginning February 29, WCVB NewsCenter 5, Boston's News Leader and local ABC Affiliate, will take the leap into the 10PM news race by launching a live hour of news every day entitled The 10 O'Clock News on MeTV Boston.

Anchors Maria Stephanos and Ed Harding will co-anchor the weeknight newscasts with Chief Meteorologist Harvey Leonard and Sports Anchor Mike Lynch. The 10 O'Clock News on MeTV Boston weekend team will be announced shortly.

MeTV Boston is WCVB's second television channel and is available over the air on Channel 5.2 and on the following cable channels: Comcast 292/306, Verizon 461, RCN 29, Charter 184, Metrocast 295, BELD 75.

"Launching The 10 O'Clock News on MeTV Boston will bolster MeTV Boston's presence in the market while giving WCVB the opportunity to compete in this time period which is clearly relevant and important to viewers," said Bill Fine, WCVB President and General Manager.
