Angelica Spanos has joined ABC News in New York City as a correspondent for ABC NewsOne, its affiliate news service.

Angelica joins ABC News from WTIC FOX 61 in Hartford, Connecticut where she had been a weekday reporter for the FOX 61 Morning News since January 2013. Since she's been in Hartford, she has covered everything from the record blizzard of 2013, the Boston Marathon Bombing and the aftermath of the Sandy Hook tragedy.

She joined FOX 61 from WBOC CBS 16 in Salisbury, MD where she was a reporter. While in Maryland, she covered both Hurricanes Irene and Sandy and their extensive damage to the coastline.

Angelica has been awarded with several Associated Press awards. Her television career began in New York City, as a producer/writer for Bloomberg Television.

As a student, Angelica interned in multiple newsrooms that included WTOP, WTTG, CNN, and the Fox Business Network.

A native of Virginia, Angelica is a 2010 graduate of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism where she earned a Master's degree in broadcast journalism. She earned a Bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communication from The George Washington University in 2009.

Angelica started at ABC News at the end of September.
