FOX 61, Tribune Broadcasting’s Hartford station, announces the addition of Ike Ejiochi as a Multimedia Journalist.
Most recently, Ejiochi served as weekend anchor/reporter for KODE Action 12 news in Joplin, Missouri. While in Missouri, Ejiochi created the franchise “Ike on the Street,” a series of segments featuring members of the community.
Before joining KODE, Ejiochi was a freelance reporter for the Associated Press in Hartford, Connecticut, where he covered the Connecticut gubernatorial race of Tom Foley. Earlier, Ejiochi was a writer for Total Sports Blog in New York.
“We are very excited to add Ike to our staff. He has great energy and enthusiasm that will have a positive impact on our viewers and in our newsroom,” said Coleen Marren, News Director.
Ejiochi holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication from William Paterson University and a Master’s Degree in Sports Journalism from Quinnipiac University.
“I’m excited to join the Fox 61 team. I look forward to sharing stories from Connecticut residents and making The Constitution state my home again,” said Ejiochi.
Ejiochi begins on air January 25, 2017.
