FOX CT has announced Connecticut native Jennifer Bernstein is returning to the station as an anchor/reporter. Bernstein will begin on air with FOX CT news on August 4.
Bernstein will replace departing Laurie Perez, and will anchor FOX CT News at 4, as well as cover Connecticut politics and co-anchor “The Real Story” with Al Terzi.
Bernstein, was a reporter for FOX CT news from 2010-2012, where she worked as the station’s first true multimedia journalist. In this role, she was responsible for every aspect of the newsgathering process, including writing, reporting, shooting and editing her own news stories.
Bernstein’s commitment and innovative spirit earned her an Emmy nomination and the distinction of being named “Tribune’s Outstanding Employee of 2010.”
In 2012, Bernstein was offered an opportunity to report at KYW, Philadelphia’s CBS affiliate. While there, Bernstein covered major local and national news stories including the Newtown school tragedy, Hurricane Sandy and the aftermath of the Penn State sex abuse scandal.
Prior to FOX CT and KYW, Bernstein worked for Time Warner Cable News at YNN and News 9 in Buffalo and Albany, New York.

Bernstein graduated from Union College in Schenectady, NY with a degree in Political Science.
