It's the biggest game of the year, and certainly the biggest game in New England, as the Patriots make another appearance in the Super Bowl.

The game is being broadcast nationally on the Fox network, so it's the perfect time for Fox affiliates to showcase their news product to a larger than normal audience.

Boston's WFXT FOX 25 took the opportunity to launch a new promo featuring a catchy song and a slogan of "Everywhere" - it's also the first promo with the station ditching "FOX" in favor of just "25 News."

One might think that the station would take the time to launch an original promo during the big game, considering they are in the midst of re-branding their news product.

The station instead copied a 2014 image campaign from Seven News in Australia - using the exact same song and format. Funny thing is, the Australian promo had a tie to Boston - the opening shot of the house blowing up was footage from WCVB's Sky5 from the New Hampshire house explosion a few years ago.

Copying promos from other stations isn't highly unusual, as stations with the same owner can use the same graphics, music and ideas. But copying the same promo from a network half way around the world is a bit of a stretch.

With the stations extensive use of consultants since Cox Media Group took over the station in 2014, one can only wonder how this was missed.

We've sent an email to FOX 25 to ask if they got permission to use the concept from Seven News in Australia or not, but haven't heard back yet.

FOX 25 might want to take note... they may be "Everywhere", but so is YouTube.
