Alaina Pinto is joining Boston's WHDH 7 as the morning traffic reporter, New England One has learned.
Alaina is joining WHDH from WVNY ABC 22/WFFF FOX 44 in Burlington, Vermont where she has been a morning reporter since July 2014.
Alaina is "looking forward to moving south for warmer and less snowy winters" said WHDH news director Linda Miele in an email to staff. "Born and raised in Cleveland, she got her first taste of a championship team this year and is excited to be coming to Boston where the big wins are a lot more common" she said.
A native of LaGrange, Ohio, Alaina is a 2014 graduate of the University of Akron where she earned a Bachelor's degree in media productions and radio/television.
Alaina starts at WHDH after Christmas.
