WFXT FOX 25 is set to launch FOX 25 News at 4:00 p.m. beginning Monday, April 25th.

FOX 25’s Elizabeth Hopkins and Blair Miller will co-anchor the Monday through Friday newscast with Chief Meteorologist Kevin Lemanowicz. The additional hour of news gives FOX 25 Boston’s only uninterrupted, three hour block of local news coverage from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

wfxtfox25newsat4 sm“The addition of FOX 25 News at 4:00 p.m. is part of our long-term commitment to provide Boston-area viewers the most complete and in-depth local news, weather, traffic and sports coverage,” said Tom Raponi, WFXT Vice President and General Manager. “With at least 13 more hours of weekly local news coverage than any other station, FOX 25 is working hard to be Boston’s first choice for local news, weather and sports.”

FOX 25 brings viewers more live news coverage than any other Boston station with total number of hours of live newscasts increasing to 65 hours each week. FOX 25 News at 4:00 p.m., along with all other FOX 25 newscasts, will be available on more devices than any other Boston station, including the FOX 25 News App, NewsON, Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire.

“Viewers want to get the information they need whenever and wherever they want it,” said Lee Rosenthal, FOX 25 News Director. “The FOX 25 StormTracker Weather Team will be tracking changing weather conditions to keep viewers safe and prepared, while our team of reporters will be live in more places with important stories as they are unfolding.”

With the addition of FOX 25 News at 4:00 p.m., Dr. Oz will now air weekday afternoons at 3:00.
