It's been almost a month, and although not 100% yet, Phil Lipof is going back to work. Phil Lipof has been off the WCVB anchor desk due to a severe reaction he suffered to an antibiotic he was taking for an infection.

He's been recovering at home, and feels that now is the right time to start getting back to normal.

He took to his Facebook account to announce he was going back to work:

"After almost a month since the beginning of this whole crazy health scare. I'm heading back to work tonight anchoring the 6 and 11pm newscasts. What a bizarre, terrifying, life changing month it has been. For those of you who don't know, I had a life threatening, allergic reaction to an antibiotic. 8 days in the hospital and 2 weeks of recovery at home. I still have some issues (but who doesn't, Right!) however, It's time to get back to life. I am writing a story about the whole situation and we will post it on our website Wcvb.com. probably tomorrow. In the meantime, I wanted to thank all of you for your support and kindness. Thousands of you reached out to me and my family during the last month. Kind words, positive energy... Even prayers. You will never know how important all of it was for me. I hope you know I would do the same for you. Still some recovery left, but I'm expecting to be back at full strength in a few weeks. So thank you again for caring about what happened to me. I want you to know... It means everything."

Welcome back, Phil! We continue to wish you a quick full recovery.

If you want to send Phil well wishes, you can do so though Twitter @PhilWCVB, or to the station at the following address:
