Emmy winning news anchor Kathryn Hauser has joined WBZ-TV as anchor of the station’s weekday morning and noon newscasts starting September 1.
“Kathryn is an outstanding journalist with deep connections to the New England region, and will be a great addition to the ‘BZ News team” Mark Lund, President and General Manager for CBS Boston’s WBZ-TV and myTV38, said in a statement.
Kathryn comes to WBZ from News 12 Connecticut where she anchored the weekday morning show. She has been with News 12 Connecticut since 2009.
Prior to that, she worked as a reporter at FOX23 News in Albany, New York. But, got her start as a broadcast journalist at WLNY-TV 55 on Long Island.
Kathryn has covered national stories from the murder of Yale graduate student Annie Le, to the Miracle on the Hudson, to the sex scandal surrounding former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer.
On her days off, Kathryn enjoys the great outdoors and spending time with family and friends. She is a proud graduate of Siena College, just outside Albany. Go Saints!
