Joy Lim Nakrin has left WFXT-TV FOX 25, the Cox Media Group station in Boston, New England One has confirmed.

Joy was most recently an anchor and reporter at FOX 25, and was filling in on the anchor desk part time while the station searches for former anchor Maria Stephanos' replacement.

Joy is the latest on-air personality that was hired under the old Fox Television Stations regime to have left the station in the past year. In addition to Maria Stephanos, reporter Mike Beaudet, anchor Sorboni Banerjee, anchor Melissa Mahan, and anchor Shannon Mulaire have all left within the first year of Cox owning the station, among others.

A request for comment was not immediately returned by FOX 25 or by Joy's agent, but we are told that the decision to leave was Joy's and she was not pushed out.

Joy came to FOX 25 from KSTP-TV ABC 5 in Minneapolis, MN where she had been an anchor and reporter since 2010. While in Minneapolis, she was on the anchor desk for breaking news, courtroom verdicts, election coverage, and extreme weather. Her day as a reporter could be as varied as sitting down with Minnesota's first female United States Senator to reporting live from devastating flash floods in northeastern Minnesota.

She has also been a morning anchor and reporter at WTIC-TV FOX Connecticut in Hartford; and an anchor, reporter and producer at ESPN STAR Sports in Singapore.

Before working in television news, Joy spent a year working as an associate attorney in Osaka, Japan. She is currently a member of both the American Bar Association and the Massachusetts Bar and frequently draws on her legal background while covering news, court cases and crime.

A native of rural North Carolina, Joy is a 2002 graduate of Haverford College in Haverford, PA where she studied philosophy. During her junior year at Haverford, Joy spent a year in Cambridge at Harvard University as a visiting scholar. Joy is also a 2005 graduate of the Duke University School of Law in Durham, NC, where she received her Juris Doctorate degree in Law. During her time at Duke, she also spent a year abroad at Kyushu University School of Law in Fukuoka, Japan
