1. What kind of phone do you have, and what are your favorite apps?
I have an iPhone and my favorite app is my Learn Italian app. It really has helped me learn the language. Also, the Temple Run and Subway Surfer apps keep my kids busy!

2. Favorite and least favorite news topics to cover (besides violent crime)?
I love political stories and doing interviews with politicians on Face the State.

My least favorite are bank robberies, which seem more like aggressive panhandling these days.

3. If you weren't working in TV news, what would you be doing?
I’d run for Mayor of Hartford

4. What was your favorite cartoon growing up?
I really liked that Claymation show Davey and Goliath and always wondered how it was made

5. When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?
Spend time with my wife Kara Sundlun and our two kids

6. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?
I would take a summer off and live in the Abruzzo region of Italy where my great-grandfather’s farm is still in the family. Visiting there in 2012 was an emotional experience, and I’d love to live there for a while.

7. Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest?
Definitely Kara and the children. Working nights means too many missed family dinners.

 Runner-up would be the Pope.

8. Do you collect anything?
I was collecting Buicks for a while but the garage wasn’t big enough! As a kid I collected baseball cards and coins and I have them in my attic. Might be time for a tag sale.

9. What are the top 3 played songs on your iPod?
My iPod has everything from the Red Hot Chili Peppers to Elvis to Maroon 5. My taste is pretty eclectic.

10. What is one of your favorite quotes?
“Keep your beak in your own business.” - I made it up for my kids.

11. What was the last experience that made you a stronger person?
Kara and I went through a miscarriage between the births of our daughter and son. Kara was halfway through the pregnancy and had already announced on the air that we were expecting when it happened.  We were devastated, but thanks to the support of family, friends, bosses, co-workers and viewers, we got through it.
