She started her professional career at New England Cable News as a production assistant, and also spent time as an intern at WFXT-TV in Boston.

1. What kind of phone do you have, and what are your favorite apps?
My iPhone 6 is just about glued to my hand. I'm always on Twitter; I love how I can get so much information in one place, and connect easily with people for stories. I really like taking photos, so I spend a lot of time on Instagram, too (what was life before the Valencia filter?). And I'm amazed every time Shazam correctly identifies an obscure song in a loud restaurant!

2. Favorite and least favorite news topics to cover (besides violent crime)?
I love military homecomings! No matter how many I see, I could bawl every time! The stories make me feel so thankful and humbled by the sacrifices of our military AND their spouses and kids! My least favorite stories to cover are when people have been taken advantage of or abused (kids, the elderly, special needs, etc.)

3. If you weren't working in TV news, what would you be doing?
I think I would be working with people with special needs. My older brother lives with autism, and our family is so proud of him! He is really successful today because of the dedication of a lot of people over the past thirty years.

4. What was your favorite cartoon growing up?
I actually wasn't allowed to watch TV cartoons as a child because my mom thought a lot of them were "fresh" (haha). I did love Disney movies though, especially Pocahontas!

5. When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?
I haven't lived back home in eastern Mass in almost six years, so when I have free time I'm usually with my family and friends. Or I'm indulging in my guilty pleasure -- reality tv.

6. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?
I've always wanted to see the Eiffel Tower, and I can't even pick one city in Italy! History, pizza, art, wine, architecture, and... See next question.

7. Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest?
Pope Francis! I was fortunate to cover his visit to the U.S. for my last station, and I really enjoyed interviewing Catholics and non-believers in DC and New York about his message. He has had such an impact in such a short time; It amazes me how his words and actions hold the attention of so many people of all ages and faiths.

8. Do you collect anything?
Probably clothes and makeup. I can't let go of anything. As for a specific item - hats.

9. What are the top 3 played songs on your iPod?
You and Me (f. W Darling) by Bassnectar, Lessons in Love by Neon Trees, and Cheap Sunglasses by RAC (my fiancé and I heard this one in Aruba, so every time it comes on I'm reminded of our happy place!).

10. What is one of your favorite quotes?
"What's for you will not pass you."

11. What was the last experience that made you a stronger person?
Probably waiting to get this job! I have been dreaming of reporting in Boston since high school. There were a lot of days working in Bismarck, ND and especially in Springfield, MA when I really questioned whether I'd ever get here. Many family members and friends have been praying for me and even paying a few bills along the way (thanks mom and dad!), and I feel like the luckiest girl around to now have my dream job at Boston's news leader -- my grandparents' favorite station!
