The January ratings period doesn't start until Thursday, but with the addition of a new news station, daily overnights are being looked at with more curiousity than usual.

WHDH was off to a strong start one day after it lost the NBC affiliation to WBTS NBC Boston in the overnight ratings, according to the station.
