1. What kind of phone do you have, and what are your favorite apps?
I have an IPhone (I think it's a 5?) that I still don't quite know how to work and while I don't really have a favorite app, the ones I use most often are the WCVB app and Waze to get around traffic!

2. Favorite and least favorite news topics to cover (besides violent crime)?
My favorite stories to cover are those that highlight ordinary people doing extraordinary things in their communities; they remind me we can all make a difference in some way.

My least favorite stories to cover are those that involve children in any kind of tough situation or trouble. I have a hard time letting them go at the end of the day.

3. If you weren't working in TV news, what would you be doing?
If I wasn't in TV news, I'd be doing something health & fitness related. I'm often trying out recipes for "healthy treats" and using my EyeOpener co-workers as my guinea pigs. So far, we've tried sweet potato brownies, double chocolate protein muffins and paleo cookies. Let's just say there have been hits and misses!

4. What was your favorite cartoon growing up?
Favorite cartoon, hands down, was She-Ra Princess of Power. I think I dressed up as her for Halloween three years in a row!

5. When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?
Free time is rare for me these days between my schedule and two little boys! But when I do have some time I like to catch up on a few favorite blogs or Google the latest on the British royal family (I have a bit of an obsession) -- basically a little brain candy to relax.

6. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?
If I could travel anywhere, I'd take a long trip to Australia and New Zealand; there are such beautiful landscapes and a wide range of experiences depending on where you are in those countries. It's on my bucket list.

7. Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest?
I think Pope Francis would be a fascinating dinner guest. The impact he's having on the world and how people are responding to him is incredible, given the short amount of time since his election.

8. Do you collect anything?
PENS! I always have them in my purse but will take them out, leave them somewhere by accident, grab new ones. It's a little cycle that resulted in the discovery of about 7 pens in various places around my kitchen last week!

9. What are the top 3 played songs on your iPod?
The only time I really listen to the IPod is when I'm working out; the first 3 songs on my mix right now are "Somebody to Love" (the Glee version), "Uprising" by Muse and "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark" by Fall Out Boy.

10. What is one of your favorite quotes?
"Nothing is impossible. The word itself says, 'I'm possible'!" - Audrey Hepburn

11. What was the last experience that made you a stronger person?
After my second son was born, I struggled to find the "new normal" and balance all the demands life can place on you. That was 18-months ago and it's still a work in progress! But I try again every day and think I've gotten stronger in the process.
