WWLP-TV NBC 22 reporter Yoojin Cho has announced she is leaving the Springfield, MA station to join Time Warner Cable News in Charlotte, NC.

"Hi everyone! I have some news to share!" she said on her Facebook page. "I've left 22News and I'm moving to North Carolina. It was a wonderful 3 years working with great people at 22, and I've certainly enjoyed getting to know and making friends here in western Mass. I'm going to miss all of you!"

As the only full-time nightside reporter at WWLP, Yoojin has covered the Springfield Entertainment District gas explosion, the deadly Boston Marathon bombings and triple murder trials for accused Hell's Angels members.

Yoojin joined WWLP in 2012 from The Martha's Vineyard Times where she was a video journalist and web coordinator. At the newspaper, she brainstormed story ideas, produced and edited video stories, hosted MV Times Weekly Updates and managed the Times social media. She was also a columnist and reporter. She also had an opportunity to work with the White House Press Pool during the First Family’s vacation.

Previously, Yoojin has done freelance work for the Neighborhood Network News; BUTV 10; AOL Patch; and Brookline.com, all in the Boston, MA area.

She has also interned at WBZ-TV in Boston; KRLD-AM in Dallas, TX; and ETV Media Group in London.

A native of Seoul, South Korea, Yoojin grew up in Dallas. She is a 2011 graduate of Boston University where she studied broadcast journalism and international relations.

Yoojin joins Time Warner Cable News soon.
