David Charns is joining Hearst's Portland, ME station WMTW News 8 as a reporter.
Most recently, Charns was a reporter at WPTZ News Channel 5, another Hearst station in Burlington, VT.
Before joining WPTZ, Charns was a writer at WHDH-TV 7 News in Boston.
He has interned at WCVB, WBZ and at DCD Media in London, UK.
David was born and raised in Massachusetts and graduated from Boston University where he studied journalism and American studies. He then received a master's of science in journalism from Northwestern University.
Charns will start at News 8 on June 23, he told TVSpy.
