WBTV CBS 3 in Charlotte, NC recently spent a day in the life of CBS This Morning host Charlie Rose.

News anchor and master interviewer Charlie Rose fills just about every moment of his day with something.

"I do. I don't have time to do everything I want to do but I try to do as much as I can and I don't look back on what I didn't get to," Rose told us when we spent a day with him in New York City.

This North Carolina native gets back to his home in Henderson as often as he can. He credits his home state and the values his parents taught him early-on with making him the person he is today.

"You are a product of those things that shape you and what you do," Rose said.

Those who know him well will say he's the real deal. Smart and humble in one package. Everyone from his co-anchors to the most well-known woman in the world gush about Charlie Rose.

"He's the hardest working man in journalism. His dedication and hard work comes from a deep sense of curiosity and engagement with the world," said Norah O'Donnell.

"He knows so much. His intellect sure, but also his ability to allow himself to be vulnerable enough to question in a space that allows another person to show their vulnerability, you can't compare it to anybody," added Oprah Winfrey.
