National Geographic Channel and Nat Geo Wild have launched on Orange in France in SD and HD formats.
 
Wuth the new agreement, National Geographic Channel and Nat Geo Wild increase their distribution in France to more than nine million and eight million subscribers, respectively.
 
“We are very satisfied with this new alliance that continues to reinforce our desire to spread the wonder that is the Nat Geo world to even more households in France. The quality and content from the National Geographic channels perfectly fits Orange’s targets, and we are sure that our programs will become a valuable asset for their viewers,” explained Frédéric Chevance, CEO of Fox International Channels France.
 
“This agreement allows Orange to reinforce the quality and the appeal of its multi-themed Pay-TV brand strategy. The prestige of the channels under the National Geographic brand is very strong, and represents the benchmark for documentary TV-making. Each of these channels has a well-defined editorial line and position, and will enhance the viewing experience for our ‘Extra’ Pay-TV subscribers,” said Guillaume Lacroix, director of partnership and TV services and video at Orange.
