1. What kind of phone do you have, and what are your favorite apps?
I have an iPhone 5. I definitely use Twitter the most, followed by Instagram. I’m also a big fan of the MyFitnessPal and Pandora apps.

2. Favorite and least favorite news topics to cover (besides violent crime)?
I love covering anything investigative in nature. Those are the stories that really make me tick.

Anything related to Justin Bieber or Kim Kardashian is definitely at the bottom of the list.

3. If you weren't working in TV news, what would you be doing?
I’d probably be a teacher. I loved school and loved my teachers. If, however, I had any business sense, I’d consider opening a bakery catering to people with food allergies. I’m allergic to dairy, so I have to get creative with satisfying my sweet tooth. I think there’s a real need to cater to food allergies, and I can make a mean dairy-free chocolate chip cookie!

4. What was your favorite cartoon growing up?
Legends of the Hidden Temple. I am totally a child of the 90's.

5. When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?
Depending on the day, I could be at the gym. Or binge watching a good TV show on my couch. (Right now, I’m hooked on The Sopranos.) It’s definitely a balancing act between the gym and the couch. I’ll also make time to call my mom. My parents live in New Jersey, so I try to talk to them on the phone a few times a week.

6. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?
I’d go to the Naples area of Italy and visit my family’s hometowns. It’s on the bucket list.

7. Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest?
Jon Stewart.  I think the man is brilliant and funny.

8. Do you collect anything?
I started collecting coffee mugs when I began working mornings. Ironically, I don’t drink coffee, but I use them for tea. I also have more necklaces than any one woman needs, so I guess you could call that a “collection.” And, by that definition, I also “collect” shoes and handbags.

9. What are the top 3 played songs on your iPod?
“Unwell” by Matchbox Twenty and “Harder to Breathe” by Maroon 5. Those are my two favorite bands, hands down. I also love “Empire State of Mind” by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys.

10. What is one of your favorite quotes?
"Life begins at the end of your comfort zone." - Neale Donald Walsch

11. What was the last experience that made you a stronger person?
Moving to Connecticut. It’s never easy to move somewhere new and it absolutely pulled me out of my comfort zone, but it’s definitely made me a stronger, better person.
