Julie Grauert has been promoted to morning anchor at WFXT-TV FOX 25 in Boston, New England One has learned.

Julie will anchor alongside Daniel Miller from 4am-5am, and 9am-10am, and replaces Sorboni Banerjee who left the station in July to start a family. Julie had been filling-in as anchor with Daniel until the move was made official. Gene Lavanchy and Sara Underwood have shifted from 6am-10am to 5am-9am. A FOX 25 representative told us that this move is permanent.

Julie joined FOX 25 in January of this year as the morning traffic reporter, which she will continue to do.

Prior to joining FOX 25, Julie worked at Time Warner Cable's NY1 news network in New York City where she has been a general assignment and breaking news reporter since October 2014.

Before that, she spent a year as the morning traffic anchor and a general assignment/features reporter at WPIX-TV CW 11, and a few months as a reporter for WNYW-TV FOX 5, both in New York City.

She also spent almost 7 years at KPTV-TV FOX 12 in Portland, OR where she anchored the hour-long 8pm news on MyNetworkTV sister station KPDX-TV starting in 2010. At that time, she was also a reporter and fill-in anchor for weekday evening newscasts on FOX 12.

Julie started at KPTV in 2007 as a weekend anchor and reporter, and was promoted to weekday morning co-anchor of Good Day Oregon in 2008.

Julie started he on-air career at KNBN-TV NBC 21 in Rapid City, SD where she was the producer and anchor for the "NewsCenter 1" hour-long morning newscast. After 6 months, she was promoted to weekday evening co-anchor. She also spent time in the field as a multi-media journalist.

Before her on-air career in news, Julie worked at TV Guide Channel as a production assistant for entertainment show "Watch This!" with John Henson in Los Angeles, CA. At TV Guide, Julie was often seen in skits on the show and also worked the red carpet for the American Idol finale.

A native of Lake Oswego, OR, Julie is a 2005 graduate of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. where she studied English language and literature.

While in college, Julie hosted several news programs at Georgetown University Television (GUTV), served on GUTV's Board of Directors and spent her senior year as General Manager of the station. She also chaired GUTV's Student Film Festival for two years. She has also interned at the NBC News Washington, D.C. Bureau with Lisa Myers and the Investigative Unit, as well as the Fox News Channel in New York City with Shepard Smith's Studio B and The Fox Report.
