Daniel Miller is moving to New England and joining WFXT-TV FOX 25 in Boston as an anchor/reporter.

Daniel is one of the latest on-air personalities fleeing LIN Media's WISH-TV 8 in Indianapolis, IN as the station is set to lose their CBS affiliation and become an independent. Since the announcement from CBS in August, WISH has also lost a number of staffers who do not appear on-air as well.

Daniel is currently the weekend evening anchor and a reporter at WISH. He joined the station in 2005 as a general assignment reporter. In 2006, he was recognized by the Indiana Broadcasters Association for Breaking News Coverage during severe weather.

During his time at WISH, Daniel has won awards from the Indiana Broadcaster Association and The Society of Professional Journalists. He is also a 2008 Lower Great Lakes EMMY winner for reporting, and was nominated for anchoring in 2010.

Daniel joined WISH from WBBJ-TV ABC 7 in Jackson, TN where he produced and anchored the weekend newscasts, as well as a multimedia journalist during the week.

Prior to his on-air work, Daniel was a news assignment editor at Scripps station WRTV-TV ABC 6 in Indianapolis. Previously, in a brief stint outside of television industry, he was the Director of Public Relations for Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, of which he is also a member. He had also been an evening assignment editor at WXLV-TV Winston-Salem and WFMY-TV Greensboro, both in North Carolina.

A native of Greensboro, NC, Daniel is a 1998 graduate of High Point University in High Point, NC where he studied political science. He also spent a semester abroad at Westminster College in Oxford England studying British history. Daniel began his media career while still in college when he became an assignment editor/associate producer at WGHP-TV in High Point, NC.

When he’s not on the air, Daniel’s hobbies include anything to do with the great outdoors, reading and traveling. Longboat Key, FL and Amsterdam are Daniel’s favorite places to vacation. He is also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.

Daniel is expected to start at FOX 25 in 2015.

Welcome to Boston, Daniel!
