Alison Morris is joining WNYW-TV FOX 5 in New York City as business reporter. She will report for the station’s 5, 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts.
“I can’t wait to become FOX 5′s first business reporter and bring our viewers the latest on the economy, business climate and their money,” Morris said in a statement. “What we’re doing here is unique and to do it on a station I grew up watching is awesome.”
Alison comes to FOX 5 from WTIC-TV FOX CT in Hartford, which she joined in September 2010 as an anchor & consumer reporter. She was promoted to 5pm, 10pm & 11pm anchor in September 2011.
Alison was named to the Hartford Business Journal's "40 Under 40, Class of 2014" in July of 2014.
She came to FOX CT from KDKA-TV where she was a reporter for 5 years. Prior to that she was a stock market reporter/producer for CNBC Europe, and an Intern for CBS Sports.
Alison is a 2001 graduate from Yale University, and holds a bachelors degree in sociology.
Her first day will be September 22.
