Jennifer Mobilia has been promoted to the host of 'Roc City Tonight' and will also anchor the 11pm news alongside Scott Kilbury at WHEC-TV NBC 10 in Rochester, NY.

Jennifer joined WHEC as the weekend news anchor and reporter in March 2014 where she quickly made a name for herself as a passionate advocate for the people of Rochester with her no-nonsense style of reporting. “I am excited to move into this new role, where I will work hard for our viewers and for the stories that they want covered. I’m truly blessed to have this opportunity to be a voice for our community” she said in a statement.

“Jennifer is a dedicated journalist who believes in telling stories that matter to our viewers" said news director Chris Ford. "She cares about our community and she knows that we have to ask tough questions on their behalf.”

Before joining WHEC, Jennifer spent two years as an anchor and multimedia journalist at WPRI-TV in Providence, RI. While in Providence, she covered stories with local and national interest such as the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, the Boston Marathon bombings, the arrest of New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez and Hurricane Sandy.

Prior to working at WPRI, jennifer was a news anchor and video journalist at YNN Buffalo (now Time Warner Cable News Buffalo) in Buffalo, NY. She's also been a reporter at WJET-TV in Erie, PA; a reporter/bureau chief at WBBH-TV in Fort Myers, FL; a news anchor, weather anchor, and reporter at WSEE-TV/WICU-TV in Erie, PA.

Before her television career, she was a marketing manager for Arrowhead Wine Cellars in North East, PA.

A native of North East, PA, Jennifer is a graduate of Mercyhurst College in her hometown where she received an Associates degree in business administration, and a Bachelor's degree in communications. She also received anchor/reporter training at the Television News Center in Rockville, MD.

Jennifer starts her new role on July 1.
