1. What kind of phone do you have, and what are your favorite apps?
As a social media guy, I'm tuned in with FB, Twitter, and Instagram. I'm digging Periscope lately, and have too many Words With Friends games going on. My kids and I love to go hiking a lot, so we use Pocket Ranger to check out state parks and forests in the state.

2. Favorite and least favorite news topics to cover (besides violent crime)?
This is the best reason to be a features guy (when I'm not doing my daily weather routine). "Most" of the time I'm only doing fun, positive, uplifting stories. I tell interviewees that if I knock on your door, chances are you didn't do anything wrong! I like to be a little irreverent in my interviewing style, so if I can get down and dirty with kids playing, or laugh along with the subject matter, I'll jump right in there.

The best part of being a Meteorologist and Feature Reporter is that people are more at ease to talk to you. I love finding stories about people who are doing something cool - and sharing their accomplishments with the world.

3. If you weren't working in TV news, what would you be doing?
I'd probably still be in television - it's always been in my blood. Production maybe? Developing formats and ideas? Outside of television, I'd probably be a psychologist.

4. What was your favorite cartoon growing up?
Rocky and Bullwinkle - it was one of those shows where you kinda knew that there were a few 'adult' jokes going over kids heads. Even if I didn't get em, they were funny! Also loved the Flintstones and the Jetsons. Wait, I think I'm showing my age here. Let's change my answer to the Simpsons.

5. When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?
I'm a single parent of two wonderful, but young, and high-energy children. The correct answer here, Wink, is ......sleep.

6. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?
Love Europe - so much to explore there that I haven't seen yet. Would like to drive around Ireland and Scotland. I've been to France a couple of times and would like to see the rest of the country. And I'd love to see southern Italy, and the Vatican.

7. Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest?
Since his retirement is still topical, David Letterman. He's got time on his hands these days - so maybe that could happen?

8. Do you collect anything?
Okay, odd hobby alert : I have a passion for game shows. Always did - since I was born....loved watching them. So much that I wanted to be a game show host when I grew up. I've worked behind the scenes on a few of them in the last few years, and I've spent the last 6 years as the announcer for "The Price is Right - LIVE!" when it tours the country (not the actual tv show-  this is a live theater production). So my hobby is collecting game show memorabilia - photos, props, tickets. I have some unique pieces of television game show history!

9. What are the top 3 played songs on your iPod?
SONGS? that's nearly impossible. I've got a lot of Van Morrison and Billy Joel on my iPod - and lately, Alabama Shakes has been in heavy rotation.

10. What is one of your favorite quotes?
"May all of your consequences be happy ones" - Bob Barker, at the end of "Truth or Consequences" - a show he did for many years before the Price is Right.

11. What was the last experience that made you a stronger person?
Oooooooh. That happens every day in my life.

I have the greatest children in the world (I may have already mentioned that :) ) . My 8 year old daughter and my 6 year old son inspire me every day. Everything I do, I do for them - because I raise them on my own. As a sole-custody father for a few years now, I am constantly challenged to juggle work and home life - making sure they are raised and educated properly.

Thankfully, I love what I do, I love who i work for, and I admire and appreciate the team I work with at Fox CT - because they all help me make my life at home possible.

My life is a constant rush of things to do, chores to accomplish, deadlines to meet, goals to achieve, and most importantly, laughs to have and hugs to give my family. It's a challenge that I do my best to rise to every day - and that makes me a stronger person.

And, I wouldn't change a thing
