Kerri Landry has been named Director of Communications for WBZ-TV, WSBK-TV and the CBS Boston Local Media Group, effective immediately. Landry’s appointment was announced today by Mark Lund, President and General Manager of WBZ-TV and WSBK-TV.

In this position, Landry will oversee internal and external communications as well as public affairs initiatives for WBZ-TV, WSBK-TV and the CBS Boston Local Media Group.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kerri to our team,” said Lund. “She has more than 18 years of top-level public relations, media relations and brand marketing experience and has directed innovative PR campaigns for several companies across New England and around the world. With her creative vision and strategic approach to building brands, Kerri will be a fantastic addition to our leadership team.”

A Boston native who has been based locally throughout her career, Landry most recently served as the head of global public relations for Reebok International. Prior to that, she was the founder and principal of a public relations firm in Boston.

Landry also served as vice president of Kortenhaus Communications, a public relations firm in Boston, where she led the consumer group and represented some of the most desired brands around the world.

Landry graduated from Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in finance.

Landry replaces Ro Dooley Webster who left this position in April to join WCVB/WMUR in a similar role.
