1. What kind of phone do you have, and what are your favorite apps?
I'm a hardcore iPhone guy but it was a slow transition. I was originally hooked on Blackberry. I was the first reporter in my Nashville newsroom to thumb in my scripts back in 2004.  Previously scripts were phoned in. I use twitter and FB apps the most but my favorite is the iPhone calculator.

2. Favorite and least favorite news topics to cover (besides violent crime)?
I enjoy covering the weather because it has so many variables. It is the truest form of breaking news.

3. If you weren't working in TV news, what would you be doing?
I would be working for the CIA: still asking lots of questions but with a badge.

4. What was your favorite cartoon growing up?
I loved Star Blazers. It was a Japanese cartoon about an old military ship that was converted into a space ship.

5. When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?
I love walking, especially in the city. I find it relaxing and it makes me not watch or listen to news.

6. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?
I would jump on a plane to Italy. It is the first and only place I've traveled outside of the US. I love the history, charm and adventure of that area of the world.

7. Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest?
David Letterman. I think he is one of the best interviewers on TV. I recently had a chance to exchange words with him while attending a taping of his show. He teased me about standing when I asked him a question during the pre-show Q & A. I guess I thought I was at a news conference.

8. Do you collect anything?
I love anything that helps me recall memories. Photos, memorabilia, articles, etc.

9. What are the top 3 played songs on your iPod?
I honestly don't keep much music loaded on any of my devices. I love listening to AM radio though.

10. What is one of your favorite quotes?
"We're going to need a bigger boat."

11. What was the last experience that made you a stronger person?
My travels abroad over the past two summers were a growing experience. It was such a challenge in some areas because of the language barrier. It was exciting to be able to find a way to communicate.
