Steve Bottari is leaving WCAX-TV CBS 3 in Burlington, VT to join Hearst station KOCO-TV ABC 5 in Oklahoma City, OK as an anchor/reporter.

Steve has been the morning news anchor at WCAX since 2012. Steve also files special in-depth reports. Everything from investigating veterans’ issues with local V.A. hospitals to uncovering a government agency spending 100-million dollars to battle a beetle.

He also moderated Decision 2014: Deciding Vermont’s Future, the first televised head-to-head gubernatorial debate in the state for the 2014 elections.

Previous to WCAX, Steve reported from the presidential campaign trail for WBIN-TV, covering New Hampshire's "first in the nation" primary.

Steve has also worked for ABC News' Nightline and USA TODAY.

Steve was the Valedictorian of the class of 2011 at Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude with Bachelor’s in Communication & Politics.

Steve has also earned a Master's degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism at the prestigious S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications of Syracuse University.

A native of Chelmsford, MA, Steve graduated high school in Nashua, NH and is an Eagle Scout which is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouting program of the Boy Scouts of America.

Steve finishes up at WCAX this week, and starts at KOCO in December.
