Last night’s final Massachusetts Gubernatorial televised debate between Martha Coakley and Charlie Baker, airing on WCVB-TV from 7-8 p.m, delivered 217,000 Adults 18+ compared to WHDH's simulcast which delivered 100,000 Adults 18+ and outperformed The World Series - Game 6 on WFXT delivering 181,000 (Adults 18+) in prime time from 8-11:30 p.m. 

The debate, produced at the WCVB studios in Needham, was also broadcast on WHDH as part of the Boston Media Consortium which WBUR radio and Bloomberg Radio are also a part of. The debate was moderated by WCVB political reporter Janet Wu, with WHDH political reporter Andy Hiller and WBUR Radio's Bob Oakes.

The combined ratings of the debate on WCVB & WHDH delivered an unprecedented 75% margin of victory over Game 6 of the World Series. 

The October 28th debate telecast also topped all other previous televised debates in the market by a huge margin as well.

NECN Gubernatorial Debate   - 52,000 Adults 18+

WGBH Gubernatorial Debate -  54,000 Adults 18+

Two previous Massachusetts Gubernatorial debates in the market delivered at a maximum only 25% of the audience achieved by WCVB alone.  NECN's debate on October 27, delivered only 52,000 Adults 18+, and WGBH's debate delivered only 54,000 Adults 18+.
