Jill Konopka has joined WVIT-TV NBC 30 (NBC Connecticut) in Hartford as an investigative reporter joining NBC Connecticut’s award-winning Troubleshooters investigative team.

The Troubleshooters unit is Connecticut’s largest team of broadcast journalists that investigate issues and provide viewers with consumer-oriented results. Her first day with NBC Connecticut will be December 1.

“Jill is a well-respected, passionate and hard-charging investigative reporter and we’re thrilled that she is joining NBC Connecticut’s Troubleshooters investigative team,” said Matt Piacente, Vice President of News, NBC Connecticut. “The best investigative team in the market just got better.”

Her last day at WFSB was on October 8, when she was escorted from the building (presumably when she notified them that she was jumping to the competition across town.)

Prior to WFSB, Konopka worked at NBC affiliate station, WBRE in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Pennsylvania and the FOX affiliate stations, WUHF in Rochester, New York and KEVN in Rapid City, South Dakota.
