WHDH-TV NBC 7 has announced the addition of a promotions manager, and a promotion to senior promotions producer in the creative services department at the Boston station.
Jessica Fauth has joined the team as promotions manager, replacing Tiffany Middleton who was recently named creative services director.
Jess joined WHDH from crosstown rival WBZ-TV CBS 4 where she was most recently worked as an executive producer in the creative services department there. She started at WBZ in 2001 as a promotion writer/producer, and in 2009 was promoted to executive producer. Before that she had worked at WHDH for four years, starting in the news department in 1995, and eventually made her transition into creative services. In her spare time, Jess is also a freelance voice over artist.
A 4 time Emmy Award winner and CBS Eye on Excellence award winner, Jess is a 1995 graduate of Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ where she earned a Bachelor's degree in communications.
April Barker has been promoted to senior promotions producer, the station also announced.
Most recently, April was a creative services producer where she was responsible for conceptualizing, writing, and collaborating to create promo spots, news teases and commercials. She also got her start in the news department at WHDH, joining the station as a writer in 2006. In June 2007, April joined the Special projects unit at 7 News as their medical producer. In 2008, she made her move to creative services, where she has been an integral part of the fast paced, award winning promotions department.
In addition to her time at WHDH, April spent almost three years hosting and producing a weekly NASCAR show on WWZN-AM 1510 (now WMEX.) She is a 2005 graduate of Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA where she earned a Bachelor's degree in communication arts.
